The blisters and chafers don't want to screw with your chee or unbalance your zen. The grading criteria allow you to choose the walk for your fitness level. If you would like to edit or embellish the criteria, go ahead.
Easy
- At least some current packless walking fitness required.
- Predominantly flat walking with up and downs a minimum.
- No more than 15km per day
- Potential 6 am rises for 8 am walk starts
Moderate
- Current walking/running fitness
- Mix of flat and valley and peak walking
- No more than 18 km per day
- potential 6 am rises
Hard
- Current pack weight walking fitness required. This would require a steady buildup of distance from 2 to 8km over a period of a month with a combo of flat and hill walking. Do the training. Enjoy the walk.
- 0600 rises
- Could be off track
- Mountainous terrain, valley and peak.
- Around 20 km per day. More if its gotta be.
