Walk detail
Early start beginning at Davon's flat we follow a marked track up along the spur to Eagles Peaks. No water is available so carry 2-3 litres for the day. Fine views are afforded from the peaks @ 1347m. We then descend to 8 mile gap 1059m, the junction of bluff link road and Brocks road. A rough pad may be found or we navigate to get onto a spur that takes us to rocky ridge @ 1194m where we pickup a track that goes left down to 8 mile flat or right down to refrigerator gap. We take the left and descend to the valley of the howqua and camp here the night. Roughly a 18km day. On sunday we follow the howqua for 10km along the river back to Davon's flat. Many river crossings, boots on
